What you'll learn

Add static analysis gates

Reject code automatically when it breaks your engineering rules.

Write holdout tests

Check behaviour with tests the implementing agent cannot see or tune itself against.

Build a Doer and Tester loop

Send failed work back to the agent with the reason until it passes or escalates.

Review work after automated verification

See changes after they have passed your quality gates.

Why this topic matters

Agents are good at producing code that looks right. This session is about making them prove it works before you spend time reviewing it. We build static analysis gates, holdout tests the implementing agent never sees, and a Doer and Tester loop that sends failures back with the reason attached. You leave knowing how to stop reviewing plausible code that does not actually work. Part 3 of 4 in the Software Factory series.

Engineering leader, Agentic AI educator

Hi, I’m Param. I’m an engineer, engineering leader, and educator focused on Agentic AI.

I’ve been building software since 2011, from full-stack products to leading engineering, data science, and SRE teams. I’ve also stayed hands-on with the code throughout.

Today, I build production AI systems using LangGraph, RAG, vector search, evals, and LLM observability.

I also run learnwithparam.com, where I teach my six-week Agentic AI bootcamp.

My teaching comes directly from the systems I build and the teams I’ve worked with. I focus on helping engineers go beyond AI demos and learn how to actually design, build, evaluate, and ship agentic systems.

You can see what I’m building on GitHub and learn more about my work at learnwithparam.com.
